The Modern Urban Loft
A strong impression we had of the car was how spacious and uncompromised it felt inside, like a much bigger vehicle. It reminded us of the modern urban loft. Like a loft apartment, the FIAT is practical and efficient, yet spacious, just the right size and footprint for the modern urban lifestyle. The Brandmotion FIAT 500 Loft was born.
We Couldn’t Resist
Even though our project was mainly interior focused, we couldn’t resist a few tweaks to the exterior, starting with Brandmotion’s two-tone pearlescent paint scheme, Magneti Marelli 17” wheels, Abarth spoiler, and Eibach springs for lowered stance. For added functionality, we added Brandmotion‘s new Curb Alert PRO front curb sensor, and our integrated OEM rear vision camera into the lift gate.
A New Look in Rear Vision
For the most appropriate emerging technology, we looked through dozens of ideas in our product development lab and submissions from our technology partners. For our first technology enhancement, we quickly gravitated to a new cutting edge frameless rear vision mirror with built-in navigation screen. Its lighter-than-air look and jewel-like construction make it the perfect enhancement for a small vehicle.
No More Charging Cord Clutter
Next, we picked wireless charging for smartphones and cell phones as a highly satisfying and practical new technology. At Brandmotion, our goal has always been to “cut the cords” of sloppy generic car accessory clutter. In an efficiently packaged vehicle like the 500, order and organization in the process of supporting the owner’s unique needs is key.
The Ideal Phone and GPS Mounting Solution
For similar reasons, we also incorporated our popular Tetrax magnetic device holder for securely holding phones and GPS units in high, easy-to-reach locations in the vehicle without utilizing clunky plastic holders or suction cups. Clean, clever, practical - and Italian - just like the FIAT.
Precise High Tech LED Lighting
Every loft has good lighting, which is why we added 6 bright LED lamps to the interior for clean, precise task lighting. The result is the creation of a wonderful mood that also creates a feeling of added spaciousness.
Enhanced Sound without the Mass
The modern urban loft has great sound achieved by employing the latest small footprint audio technology. Since we didn’t have any room or desire for bulky subwoofers and boxy speakers, we chose the new Digital Power Station from Bongiovi Acoustics for its big, satisfying sound through the existing factory audio system.
Flexible System for Cargo Organization
Since efficient use of storage is critical in any small living space, we developed a trunk storage rail and organization system, tailor-made for the FIAT 500. Now, everything in the vehicle has its place, conveniently organized.
