Q: Will installing this void my warranty?
A: No. It’s a complete factory upgrade kit.
Q: If I have the navigation radio, can I still order the mirror/monitor version?
A: Yes
Q: If I have the navigation radio, can I get the rear view image to show in both the mirror and the navigation radio?
A: No. This would require custom cutting/wiring/splicing and the signal strength would be too weak and would cause the image to be distorted.
Q: Can I adjust the viewing angle?
A: No, The image is fixed for standard viewing.
Q: My factory mirror has Seat Belt Warning, will the mirror work with my car?
A: No, the occupant indicator system will not function properly.
Q: Can I adjust the image (Brightness, Contrast, Color)?
A: No, it is preset to optimum performance.
Q: Will these mirrors work on vehicles with rain sensors near the mirror?
A: On most designs yes. Contact Brandmotion before buying to make sure your system is compatible.
Q: After I installed the mirror, the vehicle will not start, codes flash on the dash warning indicator, what is the issue?
A: Your vehicle has a LAN communication circuit in pin location #3, remove this lead and isolate. Retest, the vehicle should start and all codes will have been removed automatically.
Q: I Just installed your mirror and now I have a RED mirror light, what is wrong?
A: Check your microphone connection, if the microphone is disconnected then the mirror light will turn on RED stating that there is no connection.

Rear View System Delivers! Review by sRide
Price Value Quality This weekend I installed the BrandMotion rear view system in my 2011 Chevrolet Suburban LT1. The system is fantastic and provides a crisp wide angle view where it should be...on the mirror!! If you have owned a traditional navigation based rear view system you will appreciate not having to look down for the rear view image and then back up at the rear view mirror.
This installation is within reach for weekend warriors; however, buyers should be aware that you must read ALL of the instructions carefully. This is an intermediate level install and not a beginner plug-and-play solution. Study the instructions carefully and you will be rewarded with a smooth installation experience. You need to be familiar with how to pinout connectors, remove and reinstall vehicle trim, run cables, and troubleshoot any issues per the manufacturer’s instructions. If you are not technically inclined or have never worked with vehicle trim you should consider professional installation. I am not a professional installer and the total installation time was ~4 hours. I would rather move slow and get things perfect than work quickly and make mistakes.
The kit components are of the highest quality. This kit is not cheap but you get what you pay for. The rear view mirror is higher quality than the OEM GM mirror and you cannot see the integrated display screen unless the vehicle is in reverse. The kit includes very high quality harnesses, connectors, and everything you need for connecting the system. The OnStar integration into the vehicle is seamless. My only ding on the kit is the length of the mirror specific wiring harness. I would have appreciated 1-2 more inches of length for routing. Do yourself a favor and avoid zip tying the cables for the mirror specific harness, camera harness, and rear chassis run until you have everything tested. The chassis and camera harness length are perfect with additional length left over if needed. (Posted on 9/25/11)
