Responsibilities & Reporting

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day company operations, maintaining efficient processes, and managing the areas of production, customer service, and shipping. This position involves purchasing of components and warehouse supplies in order to maintain minimum stock levels and fulfill sales orders. Full time, salary.

Essential Functions

Employee Development & Management

  • Train and provide development opportunities for employees
  • Communicate and monitor completion of quarterly and annual employee objectives
  • Coordinate training and development of subordinate staff, evaluating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting deadlines, and interpreting and ensuring consistent application of all organizational policies
  • Perform general management duties, including performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations
  • Positively lead and influence employees to partner together toward achieving individual and company goals

Purchasing

  • Maintain the parts databases and update with new and discontinued products
  • Issue purchase orders for products, components, and supplies
  • Serve as a point of contact for suppliers
  • Periodically audit supplier pricing and negotiate prices when necessary
  • Investigate and follow up with suppliers for late deliveries of purchased orders
  • Perform regular cycle counts to track and report inventory accuracy
  • Analyze, setting, and maintain minimum stock levels for all products
  • Determine pricing for components included in the bill of materials for new products
  • Communicate to team members all discontinued products and items on backorder

Operations

  • Lead the team in processing and shipping of all daily orders in a timely manner
  • Compile and review activity reports to measure productivity and determine areas where cost reductions or process improvements are needed
  • Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure that all company goals, quality objectives, and performance standards are met
  • Lead execution of improvement plans, create operations improvement goals, ensure all priorities and accountabilities are clear, and provide resources and remove obstacles to achieve success
  • Oversee the execution of all health and safety procedures, complying with all legal and company safety standards
  • Lead significant projects and improvement initiatives, including scheduling and planning, budgeting, and control
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required)
  • 5+ years of business operations experience
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience
  • 2+ years in purchasing/supply chain management
  • Experience with building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes
  • Experience working in an ISO environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills required, Mac & PC experience preferred
  • Minimum typing speed: 40 WPM
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets required; experience with Google Drive preferred
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships in a positive, cost-effective manner
  • Ability to provide coaching and career development to employees
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written means
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
